The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has been decorated with the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) Ambassadorial Tag, underscoring his commitment to promoting a drug-free society.
TheCaveat.com.ng reports that the honour was conferred during a familiarisation visit by the Police Commissioner and his entourage to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ogun State Command, where they were received by the State Commander, Commander Tijani Rabe.
While performing the decoration, the NDLEA Commander said the recognition was in acknowledgment of Ojajuni’s dedication to combating drug-related crimes.
In his response, the Commissioner expressed appreciation for the honour and reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to deepen inter-agency collaboration in tackling substance abuse and its associated criminal activities.
He explained that the visit was aimed at reinforcing the need for sustained synergy between the Police and NDLEA, particularly in areas of intelligence sharing, joint operations, and coordinated public sensitisation efforts to curb drug abuse and trafficking.
