An eye witness told TheCaveat.info that the accident occurred when an oncoming trailer hit a private car, Toyota RAV 4 with Reg. No.: AGL 743 EM at the back pushing it to a ditch, at Mania Trailer Park, Ogere.
One of the females in the car was discovered to have died in the accident while the remaining critically injured occupants were rescued by TRACE officers who took them to Skylark hospital, in Ipara for treatment.
The dead was said to have been removed toba private mortuary in Ipara town.
Confirming the accident, the spokesman for TRACE, Commander Babatunde Akinbiyi said reckless driving on the part of the trailer driver caused the accident.
He said TRACE men with assissance of other sisters traffic officers had to divert vehicles to other lane to ease the already heavy traffic that had been built up as the result of the accident.
While urging all road users to be mindful of safety of people's life the TRACE spokesman said people should stop reckless driving most especially these 'ember months.
