The Ag. TRACE Commander General/Chief Executive, Cdr. Omonayajo Elias, has decorated eight senior officers who were recently promoted by the Ogun State Civil Service Commission, with their new ranks.
Those promoted from the rank of Chief Traffic Officer (GL 14) to Assistant Director (Traffic), (GL 15), are Cdr. Ajibose Abayomi, Head, Hints and Surveillance Unit, TRACE HQ; Cdr. Sonde Olubori Idowu, PhD, Zonal Commander, Ogun Central and Cdr. Ogbu Moses, Zonal Commander, Ogun East.
Also, other senior officers promoted from the rank of Assistant Chief Traffic Officer (GL 13) to Chief Traffic Officer (GL 14) include CTO Adekoya Adeola Ayodeji, CC Governor's Office-Sagamu Interchange; CTO Oyebola Micheal Adetunji, CC Ifo-Owode/Ijako-Ijoko/Ota; CTO Abudu Wasiu Adedire, CC Sotubo-Ogijo axis; CTO Akinremi Tayo Raphael, CC Iperu-Agri Cargo Airport and CTO Ogunlana Emmanuel Folarin, CC Mile 2-Rounder-Aro-Obada.
The decoration ceremony, which took place at the TRACE Headquarters, along Ajebo Road, during the expanded TRACE management meeting for July, was attended by other senior management staff and the new TRACE Board Chairman, Hon. Habeeb Wale Ajayi.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Ag. TRACE Commander/CE, Cdr. Omonayajo Elias, charged the officers to raise the bar and lead by example, noting that, to whom much is given, much is expected.
He also admonished them to be more dedicated, committed and resourceful in the discharge of their duties for effecient service delivery to be achieved.
Nevertheless, the TRACE helmsman congratulated them and praised their outstanding devotion, discipline, dedication and hard work, which contributed to their promotion.
In his response, Cdr. Sonde Olubori Idowu, PhD, Zonal Commander, Ogun Central, expressed gratitude to the state government and indeed, the management team of TRACE, on behalf of his colleagues.
He pledged thier loyalty and improved service delivery in the onerous task of ensuring safety of lives and property is guaranteed on Ogun 18 major traffic corridors.
