Despite being the world’s richest person, Tesla owner, Elon Musk, has disclosed that he is not often happy.
The billionaire made the remark on Sunday in response to a post on X by a user, @Kekius Sage, who questioned whether Musk was happier than others or simply more outspoken.
The user tweeted, “Do you think Elon Musk is happier than us, or just louder?”
Musk replied in the comment section, stating that he is not often happy. “I am not often happy.”
His latest comment comes weeks after he suggested that wealth does not guarantee happiness.
In an earlier post on X, Tribune Online reports that Musk reflected on the popular saying that money cannot buy happiness, indicating that the statement carries significant truth.
The post followed a major surge in his net worth after a corporate transaction involving his companies.
According to Forbes estimates, his rocket company, SpaceX, acquired his artificial intelligence and social media venture, xAI, in a deal that valued the combined entity at $1.25 trillion.
The transaction reportedly added about $84 billion to Musk’s fortune, pushing his wealth to a record $852 billion and making him the first individual to surpass a net worth of $800 billion.
Before the merger, Musk already held substantial stakes in both SpaceX and xAI, with SpaceX representing the largest portion of his assets.
